Josh and Kali became acquainted through mutual friends and quickly fell in love. When we met with them a few weeks before their April elopement in Savannah, Georgia they told us of their plans to bring the exciting news back home and celebrate with their closest friends and family in May. They’re such a beautiful couple and we couldn’t wait to work with them.
Prep for Kali, her bridesmaids, and her beloved furbaby and bestman, “Captain”, proceeded Memorial Day weekend at the Iehl Estate in the historical district near downtown Cadillac. Captain seemed a little tired and unsure about all the fuss but he looked dashing with his bow tie and darling little smile. After posing for photos with his mommy, he was ready to greet the party.
The party took place at Josh’s parents’ home overlooking Lake Mitchell on the west side of Cadillac. Everyone gathered on the back lawn for a delicious home-cooked spread, a few laugh inducing toasts, and the most amazing fresh fruit cake made by Kali’s grandmother. As the sun fell behind the trees they shared their first dance and concluded a day of celebration that was absolutely lovely in it’s simplicity.
Congrats to Josh and Kali and thanks so much for having us! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness.
